I began a quilt for Rosie. She has been so patient waiting for a quilt to call her own.
The fabric collection is Covent Garden and I am adding fabrics from my stash, which I am keeping manageable. My definition of manageable is a stash that can be contained in one antique dresser with a few piles here and there scattered about in the sewing room. I don't want a stash anything near the size of my fiber and yarn stash. I could spend the remainder of my life knitting and never reach the end of my stash. I think when I have too much, it doesn't get used. It's stacked neatly away in bins in several closets from floor to ceiling, and it consumes several dressers in spare bedrooms. It takes me too long to find a particular yarn for a project so it doesn't get used.
It is sooooo bitter cold today, currently -8 degrees Fahrenheit, so I am going to spend the day cutting fabric for the Good Night Irene sew along, piecing Rosie's quilt top and maybe I'll knit or spin this evening. I think it's going to be a lazy day for me and Rosie, but a most enjoyable day.
