I am continuing to work on a quilt for my son, and I have the squares assembled. There are 12 squares each measuring 16.5 X 16.5 inches. Tonight I will be cutting the sashing and cornerstones. I am hoping next week I can begin quilting with some stitch in the ditch along with meandering for fill.
There is one half-square triangle that should be considered a mulligan (do-over), but I haven't decided yet if I will indeed rip it out from the assembled square. I know he would never notice it's peculiar shape nor would he care. I have to remember that this is only my second quilt and it is a learning process. In other words, it doesn't have to be perfect especially when a dysfunctional person is making it.
I can't wait to start on my next quilt and I have ordered a pattern or two from The Gourmet Quilter. She inspires me and I love all of her tutorials on her blog and You Tube.
Have a sunny day!
