Pub Knitting

The weekend is coming to an end, and it's time to return to some kind of structure or normalcy. I don't know why, but I can't maintain any structure on the weekend. I stay up most of the night and want to sleep during the day. I want cocktails and chocolate for breakfast and bacon & eggs for dinner. Most weekends I can't even accomplish any housework. But I certainly know how to have fun....

The local Syracuse knitting group kicked off the month of March by knitting at Kitty Hoynes Irish Pub. There's Sheri on the left, and on the right (from back to front) is Becky, Carla and Susan. And I want to say thanks to Susan for making the arrangements!

We all enjoyed the food and drinks. But just take a look at Carla's dessert.... While she was knitting a sock, she was drinking Bailey's Irish Cream and devouring a yummy piece of Bailey's cheese cake. It looked so darn delicious. I gained 3 pounds from just sitting across the table from it!

The Bailey's was so refreshing, but the glasses were small. I'm sorry, but when I drink Bailey's at home, I like a 10-12 ounce glass. What can I say? Those little glasses just make you want to slug down the entire bottle. They're a tease! I'm not a booze hag, but I do enjoy a drink or two, or three with knitting.

And check out the dude with the bagpipes. I couldn't get a picture of his legs, but he did look cute in his kilt. The picture is blurry due to my lack of photography skills, not the alcohol.

Mia.... where were you? Maybe you could have met the bagpipe dude. I think biker/bagpipe dude needs a babe on the back of his bike! Hang on Mia!

I did manage to get a little knitting done; working on Silk Tweed Sweater by Estelle Designs.

And that was my Saturday. Friends, knitting, alcohol and bagpipes. I couldn't have asked for anything more.... well, maybe a designated driver would have been nice.

Enjoy your week. Back to reality.
