Yep, I've Been Knitting

Not much going on here at the Effer household; however, I have managed to do a little knitting. No, I have not finished Salina; she's still on life support on the dining room table. And like most people, I work best under pressure so I'll probably finish it the day before I want to wear it, sometime in the fall.

Instead, I've been putting forth effort on the Nicole Jacket in Kathmandu DK. I wish I would have selected a vibrant color other than something dull. What the hell was I thinking? I do remember that when I purchased the yarn, they didn't have any bright summer colors, so it will have to be a fall jacket.

Oh, and I lied. I said there wasn't much going on at the Effer's. I forgot to mention that I caught our backyard on fire and had to have the help of three neighbors to put it out. Oh well, just another day in my dysfunctional life! Luckily no one was hurt.

I for one don't think it looks dull. I love neutral basics.. you can jazz it up with color accessories! (listen to me, the fashionista - NOT!)
Caught the yard on fire? See, you didn't mention HOW you did that... ;)
Well.. I assisted a very drunk woman who wrecked her car in front of my house tonight. I channeled my inner nurse Diana and lept over the hill help (she was ok, just bumped up, very drunk *tst tsk* and scared)

A fire!!! Sounds scary.
The small stars that I make coasters of are'nt hard to crochet ;) But it takes a while to get them ready ;)
If I someday have much of them I would like to put them up for sale :D
Have a good week!!

Awww, this jacket is going to look so beautiful! I for one really, really love the color - I don't think it's dull at all, it's very subtle and calm which will make for a very elegant jacket!
And oy, the fire thing must have been some real excitement indeed! I'm glad everyone was okay!

I LOVE that jacket! What pattern is it, Diana? Did I miss what book it's in?

I didn't think anyone else in the world had this book! I started the Bond Cardigan but frogged it because the colors were too dull - so I know what you mean. I think the silky wool yarn would make a good substitute.
