Although the hostas haven't begun to bloom, they are growing Rowan Summer Tweed. Yes, yes, yes.... I love it, love it, love it.
So I picked enough for a sweater or two.
I know that in the past, I've stated that I was not going to purchase anymore yarn and that all knitting would come from my stash. I lied. And I don't even care. I'm back to purchasing yarn with no specific purpose in mind. It's so much fun.And finally, I must say I am in the mood to spin, spin, spin. I'm going to try my hand at angora since I have a pile of it from my bunny, Harley.

Your flowers are gorgeous!! I am on the verge of finishing 'Ginger' in the Summer Tweed and I love it!! It really softens while you work with it, I hope you enjoy it.
Mmmmm ... that photo of the hosta is looking VERY "Georgia O'Keefe"! I'm with you on the stash purchases - why should we deny ourselves the joy and pleasure?!? Hey, the DH and I are headed to NYC tomorrow for a couple of days (he doesn't even know it, I'm taking him as a love hostage!) I may hit a shop or two while I'm there and definitely will do some stash improvement in Vermont next week. BTW,I won't be at Monday night knitting for a couple of weeks. Toodles!
The rules are suspended for Rowan Summer Tweed. I looked it up. You're good...
It is not stash enhancement if your hosta is growing it. What else are you supposed to do with it? You can't just leave it on the hosta for someone else to pick. I have to keep an eye on my hosta. Hopefully it is the same kind as yours!
Your summer tweed is more than gorgeous - and so are your flowers, these pics are real art indeed! Isn't it just perfect sitting outside in the sun, knitting and listening to nature's voices? Here it's way too hot to do that these days unfortunately, so do enjoy this beautiful weather as long as it lasts!
Can you tell me where you buy your hostas? My garden supply places just don't have the "Rowan" variety.
I love the sounds of the outdoors, as well. Until the sounds of the neighbors take over.
Have a great Sunday! And tell the dust bunnies to do the wash.
The flowers are beautiful, but the Summer Tweed is gorgeous!
Beautiful flowers...I'm envious. I don't have a green bone in my body, let alone a green thumb. But I sure appreciate people whose gardens are blooming!
Gorgeous Summer Tweed...yummy!
Have a great day.
I need to go check my hosta .....
well, well, what a nice little garden you have goin' there *grin*
What kind of fertilizer do you use!? My hosta just sit there looking green a leafy - showed them a picture of what your hosta can do maybe entice them with a little hosta envy. We need to plan a knit escape soon! Syracuse here we come!
I'm with you, Diana...Something about knitting outside to the scent of the garden, and the serenade of birds. I've wondered about Summer tweed..I'll be interested to know what you think of it.
Where did you get that yarn growing flower? It might put the sheep out of business.
