1. Improve my knitting skills while intoxicated. No more frogging with a hangover!
2. Finish Salina - okay, that's going to be tough. Because I have a major screw up that is going to require some frogging. Apparently I misread the directions, don't have gauge and didn't think knitting 15 plus rows was necessary.
3. Finish two pairs of socks that have been dust collectors for over a year.
4. Come to terms with short row heels. I'm not sure why I get confused with short row heels and lose my place. But I do, and that's a problem. I can't meet goal #3 unless I can knit short row heels while sipping cocktails.
5. Cast on and finish (yep, there's that word "finish") the Nicole Jacket from the Queensland Collection by Jane Ellison.
So that's it folks. Just a few summer knitting goals, a little pressure, and a contest! Be sure to join in the fun!

As I have the summers off, I always make a nice, reasonable list of things to do knitting and spinning-wise. I then proceed to lose it. Like, within minutes. I make another. Same thing.
I then panic in August and cast on twenty doomed projects.
But, it makes for an interesting summer!
better get busy!
that is a beautiful sweater...but wonder why the girl looks so ticked off????
I love #1 especially, and am glad that other knitters have random sock wips hanging around!!
Good luck with your goals!
Good luck with #1! I know how well I knit while sipping and the result ain't pretty!
These goals sound highly interesting indeed - and I'm *sooo* with you on #1! ;)))
Good luck with all your goals! They should be fun!

That sounds like an ambitous list!
Have a cocktail for me woodja,
spinning while intoxicated seems to be a better bet for me. I can spin in the dark. I know this because I did just that while the electricity was out a week or so ago.

Hi I found your Web site from Ali's contest. A la Sensational Knitted Socks instructions, I use stitch markers to keep my place with short rows. It's like leaving a breadcrumb trail, and then all you have to do is k to the stitch before the marker, or p before the marker. No counting. :)
