Fiber Lesson #1

Thank you all for your anniversary wishes. I think bloggers are the most kindhearted individuals or maybe I should say knitters are the most kindhearted.

This morning I got up bright and early to give Harley a fiber lesson. I sometimes think he is confused as to what his mission is in life. He has the attitude that he is the number one pet in our household of which Sam, the dog, disagrees. So I thought I would explain to him about fiber and yarn.

Lesson #1 : You are a fiber producing animal. To which Harley replied that he is a funny bunny and doesn't really care how much fiber he produces. He just wants to have a fun time! (He has a little bit of my attitude.)

The yarn in the picture is from KnitPicks and it arrived this week. The earth tones are going to become a fair isle tote. Sandra (Knitting Satori) has a KAL for the Nicky Epstein Tote featured in the Holiday Edition of VK. And the blue yarn is destined to become a sweater for my darling daughter, Kristen.

This past week I've been working on a scarf and an afghan. I'm such a knitterbug, always leaving remnants of knitting strewn throughout the family room.
I can't share the couch with anyone. It's mine, all mine. I truly have issues.

Hope everyone has a great knitting week!

Harley is just about the cutest thing on earth. It sounds like he is real "party animal". Ok, I'm sorry I just couldn't help myself on that. I love the colors you have picked for your next bag. I'm planning on starting my next bag this week. Now tell us about the scarf you have sitting on the couch. What a beautiful rich color. What pattern are you using?

Fair Isle bag with lots of colors - I've got to put that on my to do list. I'm looking forward to seeing pictures of yours in progress. BTW, I'm the same way with the couch.

I've been sitting here for several minutes cooing and "awwwwing" at Harley on the computer screen. My cat is looking at me like I'm a crazy lady...which makes sense under the circumstances, I suppose.

Harley's only job is to be cute. If you get fiber, then that is an afterthought.

I'm so glad you mentioned Sandy's KAL for the Jacobean bag. I've the Jamieson Shetland to make it since last fall and need some knitspiration to get going. And Harley is the cutest!

I swear I can almost feel how soft Harley is through the computer screen. I think you should start a "knitterbug" club. My husband would surely nominate me to be a member! :)

I happened upon your blog through the upstate NY knitters ring and was amused to see what I can only assume is a column of leaves scarf in progress (I finished one about a month ago) and what appears to (possibly?) be some KP superwash. One of the blues looks like the same color I used to make my niece a shrug from Debbie Bliss' Simply Baby a few weeks ago. It's a beautiful color. (Details on my blog.) I'll have to look around some more! :) Can't wait to see the finished tote.

Diana,

You and your friends are welcome anytime to come visit. Why not sooner than later so you can see the lambs?
I don't have your email address.

Oh goodness, I love that bunny! I think that if I can convince my husband that we need another bunny, it'll be an angora.
