This Week's Screw Up

Sunday morning was awesome. Mia and I started our day with a little breakfast or should I say lunch? We went to Stella's Diner. Now if you know Mia, you know she's just not right. She couldn't decide if she wanted breakfast or lunch. So she ordered a breakfast entre, which was large enough to feed a 300 pound man, along with a lunch entre. Of course her eyes were bigger than her stomach. Sorry I don't have a pic of all the food that covered our table, but it would just make your stomach growl anyway.

Then of course, we waddled over to the mall to walk shop off some of the calories. The shopping totally exhausted us so it was back to my house for a drink or two and some knitting, crocheting and frogging.

So this week's f*ck up is brought to you by the Dysfunktional Knitter. Yep, another disaster. Would you expect anything else? I swear I have to resume knitting sweaters. They're my favorite to knit and always turn out fine.

So here's this week's screw up.

In my dreams it was going to be a felted needle case. However, after felting, it was too thick to fold or roll. There is a pocket on the back side of it for needles whick makes it very bulky. So I flipped it horizontally and now it looks like a purse of some sort. I don't know what the heck I'll do with it, but Mia tried to destroy the sad mess.

Mia (The Stoned Knitter) has taken up with crocheting lately. I'm not sure why, but she has become a very happy hooker. Maybe it's the margarita talking....

I'm going to look at sweater patterns. I just have to knit a sweater or two.

Oh dear...some things just weren't meant to be, I guess. But the idea was a good one! Maybe you could cut it into squares and call 'em coasters?

Now I really want a biiiig breakfast. Something that involves pancakes, ham, eggs, cheese....

Hey, I didn't think I'd left you with any leftover margarita's! Nice idea about the needlecase ... maybe you could wear it as a thong when we go out on the road as DixieChicks X 2!!!

Nothing like taking some scissors to some bad knitting! Cut away!

I have always wanted to take scissors to a disaster project. Haven't been able to do it though.

Sometimes I think I should just stick to making sweaters for my husband. Not a lot of shaping involved and they always fit!!

Are those Pier 1 margarita glasses and HOSPITAL scissors??? Thank goodness for scissors and knitting :) I think you could turn the case into a cool accessory holder if you can add a funky sturdy zipper to the top and sew up the sides. Good Luck
