Last Friday (I know I'm late posting),
Mia and I spent another fibery day together. We started our morning with a breakfast for champions, which included all of the major food groups: caffeine, chocolate, salt, sugar, etc., along with raisins tossed in to help keep a girl regular!

And then the spinning began...

Mia was spinning some fiber from
Grafton Fibers, which by the way has the most gorgeous stuff. And of course, I had to place an order for some bee-u-ti-ful fiber.
And then it was off to the mall for a little shopping followed by a Raspberry Colada at Pizzeria Uno.
But then Mia began to take me down a dark path!!! We stopped at Mission Rose Quiltery and Yarn Shop. Everything was fine until she saw a flannel quilt. The quilt was especially soft and would be perfect to cuddle up with, but ..... me quilting? I don't know the first thing about it. So now I'm in the market for a sewing machine, or should I say a dust collector. I can see it now.... I'll buy a sewing machine, expensive of course, start a quilt and then pack it away in the closet three months later when Mr. Effer is tired of it taking up space. And conveniently, he is out of town next week, so I'll be making that purchase next week! It's all part of my dysfunctional life. So I guess the year of 2006 will be filled with knitting, spinning and quilting?!? Oh my!
