Have you ever had a day where you just feel like you need to do something different or good for the soul or maybe do something because you want to be a better person? For some reason, I feel that way today. Not sure what I'm gonna do but the day is still young.

A Weekend From the 70's!
On Friday I was looking forward to my three-day weekend. Yep, I was planning on a little R&R Saturday, Sunday and Monday. But instead, it was a flashback to the 70's - thanks to Mia (Stoned Knitter)! The events I speak of are visiting a headshop, drinking, Mr. Effer hanging out the window of the van yelling "Pullover, I'm gonna be sick," and visiting a liquor store on Sunday. By the way, Mr. Effer says never mix beer and chocolate martinis. I was the designated driver so after two (maybe three) cocktails early in the evening, I had to call it quits.
I sure hope my 21-year-old and 19-year-old kids were better behaved than their parents this weekend. Am I in middle age crisis? I don't think so. I think I went through that a couple of years ago when I bought the red sofa. I couldn't afford a red sports car, so I went with the red sofa. Of course, nothing wild ever happens on the sofa, so maybe I should have gone with the red sports car!
Anyhoo, my spinning is coming along and I think by next week I will be able to show before and after pictures.
Today, Susan (Needles and Stash) and I went to Mission Rose Quiltery and Yarn Shop. Susan made purchases; however, I didn't buy a darn thing. All I could think about was eating lunch; guess I should have had breakfast before venturing out of the house. After yarn shopping, we stopped for lunch at The Retreat, and I stuffed myself.
Notice a theme with Susan's and Mia's blog titles?
