Rock My World!

This past week has been a week of mixed emotions. The youngest child, Scott, was shipped off to college this week, which leaves an empty nest. I have felt sad and have been thinking about time speeding by. It has been our plan for the kids to attend college, but one never knows when rebellion will rise up and the child will say no to college.

So the past few days have been a little quiet around the house. Dinner has not been interrupted by a cell phone ringing and the door bell has been silent. There haven't been any extra cars in the driveway and no groggy kids to step over in the morning.

Okay, enough of that melancholy crap. Three days of grieving is too much! It's time to yell out PARTY TIME! I think I'll suprise DH when he gets home with a little of this......

It's Saturday, and you know what old married couples do on Saturday night. Yep, a little of that (wink)! He doesn't know it yet, but he's going to rock my world tonight!

Oh by the way, since the kids are gone and no one plays the piano anymore, I cleaned out the piano bench. And guess what's hidden in there? YARN!

Toodles..... have a great Saturday night!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, ERIN!

If you get a chance, stop by Erin's blog, Skein Street, and wish her a happy birthday!

Summer Ride

I was reading Lizzie's blog, which lead me to a quiz about What's Your Summer Ride? I never put much faith in these quizzes, but the result of the quiz said my summer ride is a Toyota Prius. Yep, that's what I drive, and I love it! I've had my Toyota Prius for 4 1/2 years and the "wow factor" has never worn off. I think everyone should be thinking about gas-electric cars. And when the hydrogen fuel cell cars become available, I will probably be waiting in line to order one. I just love new technology, especially if it makes me less dependent on oil/gasoline!

The quiz freaked me out a little bit when it came up with the car that I actually drive. So what's your summer ride?
