You Gotta Laugh at Something!

BEWARE ADULT CONTENT!

Yesterday was a relatively quiet day. Not much goin' on. But for some reason the David Letterman show cracked me up last night. During his monologue, he said that Martha Stewart would be getting her ankle bracelet off soon as she will no longer be under house arrest. He was glad for that because it was leaving a red mark on the back of his neck. Now I have to be honest with you in that I didn't get the joke at first, which is really funny coming from a girl whose nick name is Legs 'N Air!

Bada Bing! Bada Boom!

I reached a milestone today! It's the first time I have ever sewn on a button, and I did it all by myself from threading the needle to tying the knot.

With three days to spare, I completed my July Stashbuster project: Sirdar pattern #2085 , Raspberry color cardigan for Grace.

Our flowers are in full bloom, and the bouquet in the picture was picked by my DH, Dan, for Grace. When Grace was here visiting, she picked a bouquet which included every bloomin' flower in our yard. So I hope Grace gets to see this picture.

I've already begun the August stashbusting project, pictures should be coming soon!

And with the return of my husband from St. Louis, normalcy has returned to my life....

Sex, Drugs & Alcohol

Sex, drugs and alcohol, you can get it all at UB. The "sudden explosion" ad asks why so many UB undergrads are flocking to chemistry and physics. I'll tell you why.... for sex, drugs and alcohol.

Scott just attended an overnight orientation at UB. Prior to this event, he wasn't that excited about college. He came home with a new attitude of "I can't wait to go." Why the sudden change? Sex, drugs and alcohol, of course. He couldn't believe the experience he had. He said that he has lived a sheltered life in B'ville. With spending one night at UB, he was exposed to the college trio of (okay, this is the last time I'll say it) sex, drugs and alcohol. One of his room mates was high, another was drunk and then another guy came and crashed in their dorm room because the guy's room mate was having sex with a girl (at least it was a girl!). And just think, we paid for this experience! Oh, and he did get some freebies during orientation..... CONDOMS! It's just wonderful to know that he will have protection while away from home. I can rest peacefully now!

Put the Balls to the Walls!

Okay, it's almost the end of July, and this month's stashbusting project is not completed. So today I'm puttin' the balls to the walls, and I'm goin' for completion! I have to hunker down to get the finishing done on Grace's raspberry cardigan so I can officially move on to the green hoodie for Simon and then something for Robert. Oh, that reminds me, I didn't post a picture of the yarn I bought for Robert's next sweater. Maybe tomorrow I'll have time to post a few pictures. But today.... is a day for puttin' the balls to the walls! (I just had to say that one more time!)

Toodles... Have a good one!

Breakfast of Champions!

My sweetie is on his way home from St. Louis, and is currently near Erie, PA. Tomorrow he will stop in Buffalo with Scott and attend orientation at University of Buffalo. So the sad thing is that the breakfast of Champions: Cheez-Its, soda and Girl Scout cookies has ended. I am beginning the transition to a more normal diet. (My husband is the functional part of my dysfunctional being.)

In the event you are wondering why I still have Girl Scout cookies in July, it's because I bought 32 boxes and I froze the majority of them. I know it is a bit excessive, but my husband's great-niece is very competitive when it comes to selling cookies. She wanted to be the number one sales person in her troop. So I just couldn't buy one box from Madison. Instead I bought 32 boxes, and her mom shipped them to me from St. Louis. I don't think anyone in our family is normal, not even on my husband's side.

Enjoy your day.....Toodles....
