Update: Yarn Diet & Weight Diet

I am proud to annouce that last Wednesday when I weighed in at TOPS, I had lost 3 pounds. On the flip side, my yarn diet stayed the same: no gain, no loss. Since I have lost 3 pounds, I feel the need to reward myself with yarn; it's so hard to control the yarn nymph in me. Hence, I'm off to do some yarn shopping at Ebay and Knit Picks. I'm going to blow my yarn diet today! Toodles....

Beam Me Up, Sockie!

Sock season has officially begun.... The weather is becoming warmer and with warm weather comes sock knitting. I love to knit sweaters in the winter, socks in the spring and summer, and mittens in the fall. I guess I knit by season, which is the method to my knitting madness.

Of course, I can't just have one pair of socks on the needles, that would be too normal. I have to be managing at least three or four knitting projects to be happy. The pink/red/blue pair of socks is Jawoll Cotton and the other pair of socks is Wildfoote (Brown Sheep Company) and the color is Columbine. I just love the Columbine color; it's really a springtime color with the light blues and pink. The picture doesn't show the color accurately, but hopefully I'll be able to take a better picture when the socks are finished.

TAH-DAH.....DRUM ROLL

I finally, somehow, with the grace of a computer angel, uploaded a picture. I am definitely not a technowizard and still a technoweenie. But, anyhoo, here is a picture of the Wonderful Wallaby that I knitted for my niece, Madison. On this particular sweater I did not knit a hood, just wasn't in the mood. This was knitted in Wendy/Peter Pan - Velvet Touch, shade #1224.
